Syd Rosen, MPH, CHES

I’m a health educator, public speaker, and advocate for health equity. I’ve worked with a variety of audiences and topics, from individualized consulting with the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians on HIV prevention to presenting to national audiences with ScreenNJ’s Project ECHO Cancer Survivorship series. I’m constantly seeking new information to best serve people from all walks of life. I’m eager to share what I’ve learned, and to learn from you in turn. There’s nothing I’m more passionate about than helping build thriving, inclusive communities where individuals are empowered to chart their own course and navigate living a healthy, fulfilled life that feels right to them.

Did you know?

Opals are relatively soft jewels; they’re harder than amber or pearls, but softer than quartz or sapphires. They’re similar to window glass, sturdy but able to be scratched or dull over time. Instead of a weakness, this softness is what allows the distinctive play-of-color effect that opals are known for. Opals are created by water stacking tiny silica spheres over hundreds of years, creating a unique gem whose beauty could not exist without its inherent vulnerability
